There is the person you imagine yourself to be — the self-concept built over years of achievement, identity, and quiet assumption. There is the person you present to the world — the values you declare, the leader you describe, the professional you perform. And then there is the person your day actually reveals: where your time goes, how present you are inside it, and how far the life you're living sits from the life you say you want.
For most high-performing professionals, these three are not the same. The gap between them is where performance quietly erodes — not through incompetence, but through accumulated distance from self.
This diagnostic maps that gap. It will not tell you what you want to hear. It will show you what is actually there.
The self-image. The story you've carried long enough to stop questioning it.
Your stated values. What you claim to prioritise when someone asks.
What your day reveals — where your time goes and how present you are inside it.
Your data stays with you. Nothing you enter here is stored, transmitted, or seen by anyone. This is a private self-diagnostic tool. If you would like to discuss your results and explore working together, print the readout at the end and send it to matthew@veritashighperformance.com. A conversation from here costs nothing.
Allow 20–30 minutes. The honesty of what you put in determines the value of what comes out.
Map your day and see how it breaks down across seven categories of life.
Rate the quality of your presence in each activity — not how present you'd like to be.
Test whether your stated values are reflected in how you actually live.
Define your ideal day, then see the distance between intention and reality.
The higher the score, the more of your day genuinely belongs to you.
Map your typical day below. Drag or click an activity from the palette to add it to your schedule. Set the start and end time, edit the label to match your reality, then click Calculate. Don't filter — include everything, including the things you'd rather not.
No category selection required. The diagnostic will do that for you.
Please set a start time, end time, and activity label for every row before calculating.
For each activity in your day, rate your typical quality of presence on a scale of 1 to 5. Not how present you aspire to be — how present you actually are. The specificity is the point.
1 = going through the motions · 5 = fully there · Sleep is excluded — presence during unconsciousness cannot be meaningfully measured
Please rate your presence in every activity before calculating.
Enter up to six values that genuinely matter to you. Not the ones that sound impressive — yours. The things you would defend. The things you'd feel compromised without.
Examples: integrity, family, excellence, courage, growth, service, honesty, freedom, loyalty
Set the percentage of your day you would ideally allocate to each category. Your actual figures from Step 1 are shown alongside in both percentage and hours. The total must reach 100%.
This isn't about being realistic. It's about being honest with yourself.
